Job Title: Behavioral Health Technician
Location: Sea Level, NC
Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Behavioral Health Technician to join our team at an inpatient behavioral health facility. The Behavioral Health Technician will provide direct support to patients, assist with daily activities, and help maintain a safe and therapeutic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist patients with daily living activities, including hygiene, meals, and recreational activities.
Observe and document patient behavior, mood, and progress according to treatment plans.
Provide emotional support and crisis intervention to patients as needed.
Facilitate group activities, therapy sessions, and other therapeutic programs.
Ensure the safety and security of patients by conducting regular checks and maintaining a structured environment.
Communicate patient updates and concerns to clinical staff promptly.
Uphold facility policies and procedures to promote a respectful and inclusive environment.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree or higher in psychology, social work, or a related field is preferred.
Previous experience in a behavioral health or inpatient setting is highly desirable.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Knowledge of mental health disorders and basic crisis intervention techniques.
Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Shift: Full-time, including weekends and holidays as required.
Pay: $16-20 per hour
