Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Counselor to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various therapeutic practices and demonstrate a commitment to supporting individuals with diverse needs. This role involves providing counseling services to clients, specifically those struggling with substance use disorder. The Counselor will utilize evidence-based practices to promote mental health and well-being. We follow a Twelve Step Facilitation Model along with other interventions.
Duties
- Conduct enhanced services group sessions tailored to the needs of clients.
-Perform comprehensive clinical assessments.
- Utilize therapeutic techniques such as psychotherapy and CBT to facilitate healing and personal growth.
- Develop and implement treatment plans based on client assessments and progress.
- Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with ICD-10 standards.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including peer support specialists and medical professionals, to provide comprehensive support.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in counseling and mental health care.
Requirements
-Certfied Alcohol and Drug Counselor in the State of North Carolina
- Valid licensure or certification as required by state regulations.
- Experience working with children and families is highly desirable for some roles.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and the ability to navigate healthcare systems effectively.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also demonstrating independence when necessary.
